- SPNEGO Programming Techdoc Published
As a follow-up to the techdoc "WebSphere with a side of SPNEGO", which describes how to use SPNEGO for SSO authentication in a WAS environment, there is now a new SPNEGO programming techdoc, which shows you how to leverage SPNEGO for SSO in your own J2EE and .NET web services client applications.

A reminder, WAS 5.1 will be out of support on 26-September-2008. If you still have production applications on it, it's time to start planning.
WebSphere Portal 5.1 will follow shortly after WAS 5.1.

This took me a little while to figure out... To get the latest Web Services Feature Pack (support for JAX-WS, SOAP 1.2 and JAX-B) working, you need to install the following in the correct sequence.
1) Base WAS 6.1.0.0
2) Web Services Feature Pack GA Release (which includes WAS 6.1.0.9).
3) WebSphere Update Installer 6.1.0.13
4) Interim EFIX PK53084
5) WebSphere AppServer FixPack 6.1.0.13 and Web Services Feature Pack FixPack for 6.1.0.13 (these two can be installed in the same UpdateInstaller session. Note that the FixPack for the base server and the feature pack are two seperate files.)
