  • Nokia Intros Barracuda, Entry-Level Phones

Nokia Intros Barracuda, Entry-Level Phones Leading mobile phone maker Nokia took the wraps off a spate of new low-cost and entry-level phones today, all of which are designed to appeal to consumers in emerging markets—although Nokia believes the slim, Bluetooth-and-camera equipped Nokia 2630 (a.k.a. • Yahoo Offers In-Browser IM Client

Internet giant Yahoo ha introduced a beta version of its Yahoo Messenger instant messaging application—the catch being that this version is designed to work within a standard Web browser window, rather than relying on a separate software application. Yahoo Web Messenger is a Flash-based application which offers a subset of the features in the full-blown Yahoo Messenger. Users can initiate and receive instant messages, save and search past messages, add contact, and adjust their online status. However, they can't change their stealth settings, avatar display, or block list; similarly, the Web version of Yahoo Messenger doesn't support

  • Internet Radio Gets One Last Gasp

The future of Internet radio is still far from certain, but for now, the threatened format has been given a temporary reprieve from its slated demise. In March, Congress’ Copyright Royalty Board changed the fee structure for online broadcasters in a drastic way that would financially cripple most of them starting May 15, however, the CRB’s entry in the Federal Register on Tuesday pushed the first date for payments under the new structure back to July 15. HP's design team has been making some very nice enhancements to their line of Home & Home Office monitors. The w2007 has a silver body and a glossy black face. One of the most aesthetic aspects of the w2007 is the glossy screen (a.k.a. BrightView), similar to modern laptops, including many HP models and Apple's MacBook Pro. It's the w2007's glossy screen that helps make photos and movies burst with lively color.
