WINFIELD RECEIVES CONDITIONAL LICENSE TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE AN OIL REFINERY IN MAURITANIA

WINFIELD RESOURCES LIMITED (WWF.H:TSXV) announces it has received a license to refine oil from the Islamic Republic of Mauritania – Ministry of Water, Energy, Information Technology and Communications. This license is a result of Winfield’s application for its own account to build, own and operate a new 300,000 bbl/day oil refinery at the Port of Nouakchott, Mauritania; and the Company’s meeting with Mauritanian authorities February 2 - 7, 2008, as previously announced January 25, 2008.

The license is subject to a number of conditions, including: (i) giving priority to acquiring feedstock from sources within Mauritania; (ii) abiding by all applicable environmental laws; (iii) giving priority to selling refined petroleum products to consumers in Mauritania; and (iv) paying royalties in favour of the National Oil Commission.

The Company would like to thank KBC Process Technology Ltd. (www.kbcat.com) of Surrey, UK, for its assistance in procuring this license. KBC is a leading independent consulting and technology group delivering competitive advantage through improvements in business performance and asset value to owners and operators in the oil refining, petrochemical, and other processing industries worldwide.

Based on this license, the Company intends to move forward with its proposal to construct, engineer and operate a new stand alone oil refinery at Nouakchott. Specifically, KBC Process Technology Ltd. will prepare a fully detailed feasibility study to include the design of the facility, (including process flow diagrams); while simultaneously we will commence the process of securing all relevant studies and licences for the proposed site in Nouakchott. Our next major milestone will be to select a contractor to prepare a study as to the nature and source of crude oil feedstock.

The Company wishes to confirm that the grant of the license from the Mauritanian authorities is conditional, and subject to a number of logistical matters including sourcing crude oil feedstock, financing and site location. There is no assurance the Company will be able to construct and operate a refinery at the Port of Nouakchott on terms acceptable to the Company, or at all. There is also no assurance the Company will be able to source crude oil feedstock or financing for such refinery project.

    Trivello receives Alexander Operations Update
Calgary, Alta. Trivello Energy Corp. (“Company or Trivello”) provides the following update.
Alexander Prospect:  Further to the news on May 29, 2007, Trivello has been advised from the new operator at Alexander, that the work over of the battery equipment at L.S.D. 3-7-57-1 W5M has been completed. Gas vapors that were meant to flare in the past were vented off via a faulty equipment set-up. The new configuration allows the gas vapor to run the burners inside the tanks to aid in the separation process of oil and water. Thus, the 6-7-57-1 W5M Wabamum oil well was reactivated and is currently pumping to tanks. Prior to shutting this well in, the oil well was producing approx. 25-35 barrels of oil per day with Trivello owning a 60% revenue interest before payout. Trivello believes this project is capable of production from several wells once continuous production can be achieved out of the 6-7 well above...more.
