CAMBRIDGE, MA—Buffalo State competed at the ECAC Championships this weekend at Harvard University. The men placed 18th of 58 teams, and the women finished tied for 24th of 51.
Top finishes for Buffalo State included, Mario Hicks (Corning/ Corning West) finishing fourth in the 55-meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional time of 7.62 seconds. Lavonne Barfield (Rochester/ Wilson Magnet) placed third in the long jump (5.42m). Xavier Mateen (New Rochelle/ New Rochelle) was third in the 200-meter dash in 22.29 seconds, and Willie Jones (Cheektowaga/ Amherst) was fourth in the high jump (1.94m).
Several Bengals will compete at the NCAA Championships next weekend at Ohio Northern. The NCAA will announce the competitors on Monday.

Buffalo State’s women’s lacrosse game scheduled for Saturday, March 8 against Allegheny has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 6:45 p.m. at the Demske Sports Complex at Canisius College.
