SeventyTwo
I've been doing quite a bit of work on SeventyTwo over the last few weeks and have been getting it up and running as much as possible. You won't really see very much about it at the website just yet (www.seventytwo.org), and in fact, you probably won't even know that name all that much unless you see this site from time to time. I would really like to find a "doing-business-as" (DBA) name that suits more of the purposes of the organization, but I'm still trying to figure that out completely.
The progress so far has been that I have set up the corporation, drafted the by-laws, and completed the 501(c)(3) documentation. We met as an initial board of directors last week to affirm the documents and get everything rolling from an official standpoint. I think what is next is to begin thinking about the organizations that we will partner with to help by providing funds and other resources. Also, I've been thinking about how I will present to organizations who will help support us in our efforts to work with orphans and orphanages. So... here we go!
