Western Washington University graduate Angie Diefenbach came up with a faster and cheaper way to use photos to create three-dimensional images of active volcanoes. The central part of the Andes between southern Peru and Chile bears 50 active or potentially volcanoes. These volcanic structures are very remote, so few studies have been made on them.
