- Tata's net revenue increases - profits under pressure
Tata Motors reports consolidated revenue (net of excise) of Rs.9238.48 crores for the Quarter ended December 31, 2007, an increase of 13% over Rs.8179.38 crores in the corresponding quarter of 2006-07. The consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) was Rs.654.79 crores, compared to Rs.602.07 crores in the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 8.8%.

- JAMA reports 18.4% decrease in motorcycle production
Motorcycle production decreases in December 2007 by 28,336 units or 18.4%. The sales recorded in December 2007 were 125,253 units. Domestic sales (factory shipment) in December 2007 stood at 51,331 units, a decrease of 10.6% as compared with the same month of the previous year.

- JAMA reports 1.5% increase in automobile production
Automobile Production Data in December 2007 was recorded as 969,457 units compared with the 955,040 units total recorded for the same month of the previous year. Increase of 14,417 units or 1.5%, and production increase has been recorded in the same month of the previous year for five consecutive months.

- GM’s vintage vehicles at 100th Syracuse Auto Expo
General Motors five vintage vehicles; Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Chevrolet and Cadillac will be displayed at the 100th Syracuse Auto Expo which opens on February 6th.
