  • Another look at initial Windows Vista PC sales
    Joe Wilcox at Microsoft Watch has a good story today indicating that the 67 percent increase in PC sales during Windows Vista's launch week may not be all it seemed. Based on his reporting and analysis, it appears that PC makers and retailers cut back on their inventory of Windows XP machines in the weeks prior to the Windows Vista launch. That apparently forced some would-be PC buyers to delay purchases until Windows Vista's debut, inflating those numbers.
