- The Truth about Hypnosis

The Truth about Hypnosis
Listed below are only a few of the many definitions of hypnosis:
*The bypass of the critical factor and the establishment of acceptable selective thinking (this will make more sense later)
*Focused consciousness”.
*An altered state of consciousness
*Extreme relaxation
*Guided meditation
*A series of instructions
Hypnosis facts:
• Hypnosis was accepted by the American Medical Assoc. in 1958
• Hypnosis is a very natural state of mind and is safe
• In over 200 years, no one has ever been hurt by hypnosis
• Hypnosis is not mind control
• You are always in control
• You can hear at all times
• It is nothing like the movies
• You cannot get stuck in hypnosis, no one has ever been stuck in hypnosis
• The worst thing that can happen to you is that you can fall asleep
• You do not want to fall asleep or you will miss everything
• Hypnosis is not sleep, it is focused consciousness
• Sleep is a state of unconsciousness
• Sleep in hypnosis mean close your eyes and go deeply relaxed as if you are asleep
• Hypnosis is simply a series of instructions, all you have to do is focus on what the hypnotherapist is saying and follow his or her instructions (it’s like playing Simon Says)
Hypnosis is a very natural state of mind. In fact, you enter into a state of hypnosis many times a day. Let me give you some examples:
- If you are driving in your car and you almost miss your turn because you are so focused on a specific thought - that is highway hypnosis.
- When you arrive at your destination and don’t even remember how you got there because your mind was somewhere else - that is a state of hypnosis.
- If you are watching TV or reading a really good book and someone is talking to you, but you don’t hear a word they say because you are so focused on your show – that is a state of hypnosis!
- If you get a bruise or a cut but don’t realize it until later (once again because you were so focused on doing something else at the time) that is a state of hypnosis.
Remember, one of the definitions of hypnosis is focused consciousness.
With that, I would like to begin by explaining the mind model and how the mind works in hypnosis:
THREE PARTS OF THE MIND
Unconscious Mind (UM)
This is part of our Autonomic Nervous System (things we know how to do automatically such as breathe, eat, heart beat, and blood circulation)
Conscious Mind (CM)
Four parts within the CM – rational, analytical, will power, and temporary memory
The CM is where we spend most of our time, but it is actually the weakest part of our mind. The CM is the rational, analytical part of the mind. It’s the thinking, judging part of the mind. Humans must have a reason for everything. Our ability to rationalize our actions is what keeps us sane. For example, a smoker will rationalize his or her actions by saying “smoking helps me relax and focus.” The truth is that cigarettes raise heart rate and hand tremors by a large percent. So much for relaxing!! So, our rational mind is not always correct, but, as long as our rational mind can come up with some reasoning for our actions, we will be at peace. Our analytical mind recognizes problems, such as a flat tire, and it figures out how to fix it.
Also, will power is in our CM. How many times have you tried changing an old habit by using will power? Will power is only temporary. It gives us short bursts of energy to help us get through a mental situation, but then it fades away. Will power cannot affect internal change. Change has to come from within our deeper mind (our SM)
The fourth part of our CM is our temporary memory. This is very limited. This is the memory that we need and use in our daily lives, like remembering where we live and people’s names. Scientific research has proven that our CM can only hold small bits of information at one time. And, this is the part of our mind that we use every day all day! (How do we get by?) Overall, the conscious mind is a very weak mind compared to the subconscious mind.
Subconscious Mind (SM)
Four parts – Imagination, permanent memory, habits, feelings and emotions
The SM is the most powerful part of our mind. This is the part of our mind that will help you to achieve your goals. The SM is the part of the mind we work with in hypnosis.
Imagination is the first part of the SM that we will talk about. Imagination is more than just creativity. Imagination is also our perception of the world around us and everybody’s perception is different. And, everybody’s perception is the truth to them. Remember that perception is not reality, it’s just a perception.
The SM is also home for our permanent memory. Every piece of data ever received through any of our five senses is stored in our SM. So, starting from when we are in our mom’s tummy everything we hear, feel, or experience leaves an imprint on us. Then we begin to build a database of information that develops into beliefs and habits, and all of this develops who we are today. We will think our next thought, act our next action, and feel our next feeling based upon everything that has happened in our past. We are the sum total of all our past. (Read this again carefully!)
Our permanent memory is like a hard drive on a computer, it is a highly organized system and we know that because it works by association. For example, if you are driving in your car and you hear an old song, feelings come back of some old friend or memory associated with that song.
Our SM is like our computer and sometimes we need to reprogram our computers.
Habits, feelings, and emotions are also in the SM. The SM is the feeling mind. Hypnosis can help you become aware of the feeling or emotion that is connected to your issue. When you allow this to happen, you are on your way to making permanent change!
So, if the SM is our most powerful part of our mind, why don’t we use it more often? Your hypnotherapist will show you how you can use this part of your mind to your advantage. You will have the opportunity to learn self-hypnosis, which is a tool you can take with you and use for the rest of your life!
Critical Factor (CF)
Now, the last and most important piece that I would like to tell you about is the Critical Factor. And the critical factor resides in the CM, but it takes orders from the SM. Don’t let this confuse you. Just think of it as being in between the CM and the SM. (See diagram) This is the part of the mind that we need to bypass in the hypnosis session. The CF’s job is to protect the vulnerable nature of the SM. Think of it as a filter. This is how it works. It takes every incoming suggestion from the outside world and stops it. It then compares that incoming suggestion to every perception we hold on the subject. If the new suggestion is not in harmony with the old perception, the CF’s job is to stop the new suggestion and reject it. If however, the new suggestion is stopped and found to be in harmony with the inner perception, the CF opens up and lets it in. Remember, every piece of information we have ever rec’d in our life is stored in our SM. So, any new information trying to come in is compared to the old. For instance, if you read a magazine article that convinced you that you should exercise 3x a week, your CM says yes that is a good idea, I should do that. Well the CF is going to compare that to what is already in the SM and if that idea does not fit into your database of information it is going to be rejected. But, when you are in hypnosis, we can bypass that CF so that we can put those good positive suggestions in to your SM where they will be accepted. When we bypass the CF you can accept suggestions to change your habits, remove limiting beliefs, resolve internal conflict and accept new beliefs that will help you succeed in reaching your goals. We can help you program yourself for success! If you are worried about your hypnotherapist giving you a suggestion you don’t like, don’t worry, your CM and your CF are watching over you. That suggestion will be compared to the information in your database (SM) and if it doesn’t like it that suggestion will be rejected! Remember, you can hear and remember everything your hypnotherapist is saying.
Let’s go back to the definition of hypnosis. It will make more sense now. The bypass of the critical factor and the establishment of acceptable selective thinking. Meaning, when you are focused on your hypnotherapists instructions you get bypass of the critical factor. Then, you are able to accept the suggestions you want, and they will go into your SM where they will always be with you.
So, if you want to exercise more but your CF says no way, with hypnosis we can bypass that CF and put that suggestion into your SM – your computer. If you choose to accept that suggestion you will find it much easier to do the things you want to do such as exercise.
There is another very important fact you need to know about hypnosis. No one can put you into a state of hypnosis – no matter how good a hypnotist they are. What is important here to understand is that all hypnosis is SELF-HYPNOSIS! That is right. You can only go into hypnosis if you WANT to. A hypnotist or a hypnotherapist is only a guide. They are there to help you make those changes you want to make. It is a partnership. So, let your hypnotist or hypnotherapist guide you into a state of hypnosis. There are two ways you can allow yourself to enter this state.
First, you need to follow his or her instructions. If you choose not to, hypnosis will not happen and you will fail. It is up to you. You have the choice. The second thing you need to do is maintain the Correct Mental Attitude (CMA). Your attitude determines if you will succeed or fail. The correct mental attitude is this: “I like this suggestion. I accept this suggestion. I know this will work. I can do this.”
Unfortunately there are a few other mental attitudes you can hold. The first one is a neutral kind of attitude where you don’t care either way about that suggestion. You can take it or leave it. The second one is when you feel a bit uncomfortable about the suggestion – you’re not sure if you like it or not. The third one is where you think to yourself “I like this suggestion. I hope it works”. The word hope is a twin sister of the word try and try means automatic failure. These three attitudes will automatically cause your CM to block that suggestion and it will be rejected. It will not be allowed to go into your SM, or your computer.
If you look back at your life being honest with yourself, anytime you tried to do something you failed. And when you look back again, anytime you have said to yourself “I’m going to do it”, and there was no question about it, you did it. If you continue to hope or try you will continue to fail. Eliminate these two words from your vocabulary from this moment on and watch how quickly you feel better about yourself and your life.
So, once again, if you want to succeed in your hypnosis sessions and make those changes you want to make, you need to first follow your hypnotist’s instructions; allowing him or her to be your guide. Secondly, you need to hold the CMA throughout the entire hypnosis session. The CMA once again is “I like this suggestion. I accept this suggestion. I know this will work. I can do this.” When you hold this attitude, those positive suggestions for change go right past that critical factor straight in to your SM. If you do this you will succeed! If you choose one of the other mental attitudes you will fail. No one can force a suggestion into your mind. Only you can allow it to happen.
And remember, you will hear the suggestions loud and clear. You will not be unconscious. Hypnosis is not sleep. You will hear and remember everything! Hypnosis is a 100% consent state by you. You must allow things to happen. You can stop them from happening with the slightest thought if you don’t want it to happen.
Everyone of normal intelligence can be hypnotized! There are only a few reasons why a person could not be hypnotized. One reason would be if they have fears or misconceptions about hypnosis. This is why you watch this video – to learn the truth about hypnosis and how natural it really is. Another reason why someone could not be hypnotized is if they don’t trust their hypnotist or hypnotherapist. You need to feel comfortable with him or her. And the last reason might be because they really don’t want the expected results. They have something to gain by keeping their problem. Otherwise, anyone of normal intelligence can be hypnotized and accept suggestions for change.
I want you to realize that you and only you are responsible for your success. You and only you are also responsible for your failure. What mental attitude you take when you hear a suggestion determines success or failure. It is up to you. You are also responsible for doing your homework in between sessions. You only get out of this what you put into it!
Stage Hypnosis:
I would like to mention stage hypnosis for a moment. Stage hypnosis is for entertainment purposes. I would also like you to understand that is real. You will notice that the people that are not holding the CMA get sent back to their seat. The volunteers on stage are there because they want to be. They want to entertain the crowd and have a good time so they follow the hypnotist’s instructions and accept his or her suggestions. The hypnotist does not make them act like fools, they are willing to act like that because they want to – that is why they are up there on that stage – to entertain! It is the same way in a one on one hypnosis session. You have to want to be there, you have to want the change you came in for, and you have to allow it to happen by holding the CMA and accepting suggestions for change. It is as simple as that! Anyone can do it.
To sum this all up, hypnosis is up to you. If you accept the suggestions with the CMA you will have 100% success. If you choose one of the other mental attitudes you will fail. It is up to you. Your hypnotist or hypnotherapist wants you to succeed. So please trust him or her to guide you, follow their instructions, and enjoy making those positive changes! I know you can do it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read through this. You have already taken your first step towards success!

He told US chat show host Oprah Winfrey: “I finally decided to quit smoking
when I found out I was going to have a child. That was the thing that sort
of put it over the top for me. I decided to go to a hypnotist. You sit in a
chair and the hypnotist sips water and just talks to you for an hour, and
explains how nicotine is poison.
“All of a sudden, I thought, ‘This is asinine that I’ve been doing this to
myself for all these years.’ My last cigarette was on November 10th, 2005,
and I feel a huge difference in my health now that I don’t smoke. I feel
like I’m in better shape than I was five years ago.”
Meanwhile, Ben and Jennifer have been spotted house hunting.
The couple are said to be desperate to leave New York now that Jennifer has
finished performing on Broadway in ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’.
A source close to the family said: “Both Ben and Jennifer feel it is very
important to bring Violet up away from New York. They think it is much
healthier for her to grow up away from the city.”

FDA Eyes Possible Risks of Pfizer’s Anti-Smoking Pill
Posted by Jacob Goldstein
The FDA is reviewing the safety of Pfizer’s popular Anti-Smoking Pill
Chantix. The agency is studying reports submitted by Pfizer describing suicidal ideation, “occasional suicidal behavior” and other changes in behavior and mood associated with the drug. Problems seem to come on within days or weeks of starting the drug.
But it’s too soon to say whether the drug is clearly linked to psychiatric problems, the agency said in this “early communication” it issued this afternoon. The fact that people are trying to quit smoking may have something to do with the problems, the agency notes
The FDA also said it’s reviewing “a number of recent reports in the popular press and internet sites.” No word on whether they’ve stumbled on this Health Blog post, which describes not only the drug’s commercial success, but also the highly publicized death of a musician who was taking Chantix. (He was shot by a neighbor.)
The agency also said it’s reviewing reports of drowsiness in some people taking the drug, and recommended that patients taking Chantix should be careful driving until they know how the drug affects them. Patients should also tell their doctor if they have mood or behavior changes while taking the drug.
Healthcare professionals should monitor patients taking Chantix for behavior and mood changes. Patients taking this product should report behavior or mood changes to their doctor and use caution when driving or operating machinery until they know how quitting smoking with Chantix may affect them.

- Smoking Gets Into Your Skin Too
Smoking Gets Into Your Skin Too
Ivanhoe Newswire)
(-- Smokers can add a new health risk to the ever-growing list of hazards posed by their habit: the unsightly and often painful skin condition known as psoriasis.
American and Canadian investigators who analyzed data from the long-running Nurses Health Study find smoking increases the risk of psoriasis by 78 percent when compared to never smoking. The link is long-lasting too. Former smokers have a 37 percent higher risk overall, and the risk doesn’t decline until 20 years after a person kicks the habit.
Heavier smokers fare worse than lighter smokers too. In the study, psoriasis risk went up with the number of “pack-years” smoked. A pack-year is defined as smoking 20 cigarettes per day for one year.
Even exposure to secondhand smoke appeared to increase the danger, with a higher risk seen for study participants who were exposed to smoke while their mothers were pregnant or when they were children.
“These findings, along with well-established hazardous health effects of smoking, provide clear incentives for smoking cessation in those at risk for and suffering from psoriasis,” study author Hyon K. Choi, M.D., Dr.P.H., was quoted as saying. “Beyond the potential effect on psoriasis, smoking cessation would lead to a better overall clinical outcome in psoriasis patients, who often suffer co-morbidities related to smoking.”

CHEST: Hypnotherapy Aids Smoking Cessation

Explain to interested patients that this small study
provides some data, previously lacking, on the
effectiveness of hypnotherapy as a smoking cessation
tool.
Note that this study suggests that hypnotherapy,
combined with intensive counseling and frequent
reinforcement, can result in about half of
participants remaining smoke-free after six months.
This study was published as an abstract and presented
orally at a conference. The data and conclusions
should be considered to be preliminary until published
in a peer-reviewed publication.
Review
CHICAGO, Oct. 23 -- Smokers who've been hospitalized
are more likely to quit if they're treated with
hypnotherapy after discharge than with other smoking
cessation methods, a researcher said here.
In a small study of patients hospitalized with a
cardiopulmonary diagnosis, half of those given a
hypnotherapy session after discharge remained
smoke-free after six months, according to Faysal
Hasan, M.D., of North Shore Medical Center in Salem,
Mass.
In contrast, only one in four of those who preferred
the cold turkey route stayed off tobacco and only
15.78% of those getting nicotine replacement therapy
did, Dr. Hasan told attendees at CHEST 2007, the
annual meeting of the American College of Chest
Physicians.
Those in the fourth arm of the 67-patient study got
both hypnotherapy and nicotine replacement therapy and
half of them managed to stay off tobacco at the
six-month mark, he said.
"Hypnotherapy was pretty good," he said, but adding
nicotine replacement appeared to make no difference.
But, Dr. Hasan said, the cessation program wasn't just
a single session of hypnotherapy. All patients --
except those in the cold turkey arm -- were also given
intensive counseling and six follow-up telephone calls
for support and encouragement over the ensuing six
months.
Those in the cold turkey arm were given brief
counseling and sent home with anti-smoking brochures.
Dr. Hasan said he and colleagues decided to focus on
hospitalized patients because "it's a teaching
moment," when patients are likely to be highly
motivated to quit.
Only patients who expressed a desire to stop smoking
were included in the study.
The researchers attempted to randomize patients to one
of the four treatment modalities, but patients were
also allowed to express their own preferences. Most of
those choosing to go cold turkey, for instance, were
men, Dr. Hasan said.
While hypnotherapy enjoys a popular image as a good
way to stop smoking, Dr. Hasan noted, the data are
"all over the place." Success rates ranging from 15%
to 80% have been claimed, but controlled studies are
"very few" and results are varied, he said.
Interestingly, the study found, patients who were
admitted with a cardiac diagnosis were more likely to
remain tobacco-free at six months than those who had a
pulmonary diagnosis, at 45.5% versus 15.63%.
Dr. Hasan said the "fear and doom" associated with a
cardiac diagnosis might have increased the motivation
to quit, and patients with a pulmonary diagnosis might
have been less afraid.
It's striking how many patients ask about
hypnotherapy, said Frank Leone, M.D., of the
University of Pennsylvania Health System in
Philadelphia, who moderated a press conference at
which Dr. Hasan spoke.
"There's a sort of cultural mystique associated with
hypnosis," he said.
The problem is that hypnotherapy ranges from large
group sessions -- often offered at high cost to the
public -- to small focused sessions, such as those
used by Dr. Hasan and colleagues, he said.
"The variability of what people call hypnosis, to me,
is the big underlying problem," said Dr. Leone, who
was not involved in the study.
Dr. Hasan reported no financial links to industry or
potential conflicts.

- Creating Stillness
It's all about creating the same peaceful inner stillness which we all experience everytime we daydream or zone out. It's the same level of thought you visit while pleasantly engrossed in a good movie or novel. Have you ever enjoyed a 2 hour film and felt as though it was only 30 minutes long? How about taking a 100 mile drive that went by in no time at all? These are commonly occurring episodes of increased subconscious awareness.
So the process of Hypnosis guides the individual to that place we all know something about and then go more deeply into it than you would normally. This is pretty easy to do with suggestions, metaphors and verbal imagery. The reason this is our intended destination is because the subconscious mind is the home of all habits, patterns values and beliefs. This is where positive change can be powerfully initiated.
How It Feels
The process of hypnosis feels as right as rain. It is a peaceful moment of inner reflection where individuals are in complete control and for the most part hear and remember everything said to them during the experience.
A unique phenomenon occurs with nearly everyone. Time distortion is a classic definer of hypnosis. The more open and active the subconscious mind becomes the less able the conscious mind can keep track of time the way it usually does. So after a session I usually ask the client how long they thought the session was and they consistently guess between 5 and 10 minutes when all my sessions are 20-25 minutes long.
Time To Integrate
During hypnosis clients process and integrate the new information with what they already know and begin to form a new perspective or awareness regarding their goals. This type of powerful inner focusing easily melts away whatever used to hold them back. In fact, hypnosis can create the sensation and positive energy of success before it physically occurs. Weight loss clients, for example, tend to feel lighter before the scale validates this to be true.
Lastly, for those interested in lasting success the process of hypnosis continues after the office sessions are completed. Clients go home with a cd of each session and diligently train their brain to embrace the new patterns and with this repetition these new habits develop long healthy roots supporting long term freedom and relief.
Do the math, if you spend a good deal of time repeating unwanted/unhealthy patterns the likelihood is that they will continue. At the risk of over simplifying it's really just a matter of repeating better stuff and because this repetition occurs during moments of powerful inner reflection positive change comes quickly.
In life we all follow the path of our most dominant thoughts, we are what we think. Hypnosis enables you to choose your thoughts and to powerfully reshape your world.

- Hypnosis Prepares You for the Perfect Interview
Hypnosis can make you more confident and help you organize thoughts and experiences in order to have a great interview. One of the most stressful events can be the job interview. This is especially true if you really want the job and have the added pressure of some stiff competition. You can however better prepare yourself to have the best possible interview when you use hypnosis to help you relax and think clearly.
How many times have you left a job interview only to say, "I should have said it this way," or "I wish I had told them about---" It is not uncommon to remember important details after the fact. Hypnosis helps keep thoughts organized so that you can recall information as it is needed and present it in a more clear and well-thought out presentation. You will have greater confidence when you know you are prepared to answer any question that may come your way.
Hypnosis prepares you for the interview by helping you to first relax. Once relaxed the hypnotic process takes the information stored in your brain about skills and past job experience and helps sort the pertinent details from the fluff. Hypnosis will not add to your abilities or skills as they related to the job, but it will help you better communicate what you can offer the company. It does this by helping you to feel more relaxed and confident so that you can speak your mind effectively.
Would YOU like my help with making powerful change in 2007 and living the life you deserve right NOW? I have dedicated my life to developing hypnosis products and services which remind you of the passion and determination you naturally have to move forward with your goals quickly and easily.
Until next time,

- Healing powers of hypnosis explored
Healing powers of hypnosis explored
By Allison Williams
Correspondent
Teresa del Giudice, right, works with patient Rita Potts in her office in Fayetteville. Del Giudice uses hypnotism to help her patients.
Rita Boggs leans back in her chair, eyes closed, arms loose.
A soothing voice urges her to relax, to breathe in fresh air and release the pain that has plagued her since a car accident left her with a serious back injury when she was a teenager. The voice comes from the woman in the chair next to her. It’s not her doctor or her psychologist.
Teresa del Giudice is a certified hypnotist.
Hypnotism is no longer a parlor game. It’s taking an accepted role in medicine and psychology. People like del Giudice (pronounced JUDICE) use it to help patients manage pain, quit smoking, lose weight and even give birth. Medical studies are beginning to back it up. A study this summer in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute found that hypnosis helped breast cancer patients by reducing their pain and recovery time during and after surgery. Other studies have shown that it’s effective in healing wounds and mending bones.
The idea is that the mind may be able to do a lot more than we give it credit for. Through hypnosis, people might lessen their need for such things as prescription drugs. A woman in labor might be able to avoid pain medication. A person who wants to lose weight could avoid extreme diets.
Deborah Lallier uses hypnosis as one of several tools in what she calls “energy therapy” at the Center for Natural Medicine on Hope Mills Road.
“We’re more powerful beings than we realize,” she said. “There is so much scientific research, it’s almost ridiculous not to consider them. We’re moving to a more mind-spirit-body connection.”
But there’s still a lot of skepticism from people who think hypnotists are going to use their techniques to control them or embarrass them.
“Nothing could be further from that,” del Giudice said.
She spends much of her time winning over the reluctant. But even so, Fayetteville supports at least two people who use hypnosis to make a living.
There is enough demand to regularly fill a class del Giudice teaches on self-hypnosis at Fayetteville Technical Community College. And even though the classes are predominantly full of women, she counsels many men in her downtown Fayetteville office. They are firemen, police officers and soldiers returning from Iraq. One soldier came to see her and said he wanted help with an addiction to chewing tobacco.
“That was the least of his problems,” del Giudice said. “The paranoia was eating him alive.”
Hypnosis is often used to help people uncover the reason behind bad habits. A woman named Della went to del Giudice for help with weight loss. “I don’t see myself in the same light,” said Della, who asked that her last name not be used. “I’m able to let go of a lot of eating habits that were just that, habits, protections.”
She has lost 34 pounds. “I can call it a medicine. It healed me in so many ways,” she said.
But many physicians balk at the idea of hypnosis. Rita Boggs is the exception. Her doctor knows about her visits to del Giudice’s office and has even given his blessing.
So on a Sunday afternoon, del Giudice leads her through a series of mental exercises. Boggs sits in a recliner in the corner of del Giudice’s office. She’s relaxed, long red hair pulled over one shoulder. Del Giudice has asked Boggs to imagine plunging her hand into an icy cooler. Boggs pictures the last Coca-Cola sitting on the very bottom. When she imagines drawing out the icy cold soda, Del Giudice tells to her to take that numb feeling in her hand and transfer it to the pain in her back.
“Cool,” Boggs murmurs, and del Giudice smiles and says, “Isn’t that a beautiful thing?”
There are other techniques the two of them try. Through each one, del Giudice guides her until she is more and more relaxed. She hopes that Boggs will be able to re-create these feelings on her owns. There are few days when Boggs doesn’t have pain in her back and neck. She uses a cane, and doctors tell her that she has spinal stenosis, a medical condition that narrows the spinal canal and puts pressure on her already fragile spinal cord.
Boggs slowly works her way through the exercises until del Giudice gently asks her to open her eyes. When she does, she smiles and pats del Giudice on the arm.
“Cool. Thanks, Doc.”

- Hypnosis Can Help You Say Goodbye to Mr. Nice Guy
If you are tired of losing out on opportunities or being taken advantage of, then you can change the way you are treated through hypnosis. Hypnosis changes the perception others will have of you by helping you change your way of thinking and responses to situations in which you once played the role of door mat.
There is nothing wrong with being nice. Nice people are often respected, and at the end of the day, the kind and considerate guy is the one women want - but not someone who doesn't know how to stand up for himself. However, if being overly nice has made you lose respect in your career or is making it so that you are unable to assert yourself when necessary in relationships or other encounters, then niceness is getting in the way of earning respect.
Hypnosis turns the natural qualities you have to want to appease, please and just be nice into a balance between being considerate and having respect from others. You can redirect the natural responses you make to given situations so that the appropriate response without changing who you are or altering your personality. You can still be nice without giving up your own wants for the sake of others all the time.

- The Fall Equinox
The Fall Equinox is a time when the the day and night are divided equally, and we all take a moment to pay our respects to the impending dark. We also give thanks to the waning sunlight, as we store our harvest of this year's crops. It is a time to finish old business, like stopping smoking, as we ready for a period of rest, relaxation, and reflection. Considered a time of balance, it is when we stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hussle-bussle of everyday life.

- Hypnosis Can Help Overcome a Fear of Heights
If your fear of heights is preventing you from doing the normal, everyday activities that you need and want to do, then hypnosis can help turn excessive fear into rational thinking. You can overcome the fear of heights through hypnosis, when you learn to draw out the more realistic and rational emotions and replace your fears with these thoughts.
A fear of heights is a sort of innate feeling that protects us from jumping off buildings or doing something where we might get hurt. When that self preservation turns into a crippling fear that we will fall, even in a safe environment such as inside a building, then it becomes what is known as acrophobia.
Hypnosis is used at bedtime when you are able to completely relax. This is important in overcoming the fear of heights, because when there is fear, there is agitation and anxiety. By putting yourself in a comfortable, safe situation, you are able to become relaxed and let the hypnosis work at removing the deep seeded fears from your sub-conscious mind.
It takes just a few weeks of hynotheraphy to undo even a lifetime of a fear of heights. Most people with a fear of heights can remember feeling this even a child. They may have not wanted to climb trees with the other kids or may have felt uncomfortable or anxious knowing they were going to have to go to the top of the bleachers during a game.

- CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING
We are all creative creatures, though when faced with challenging situations, our minds can get so wrapped around the problem, that we find ourselves unable to see even a hint of a possible solution. Other times, even though the best solution is obvious, we may feel reluctant to acknowledge it because it feels uncomfortable.
Several perplexed women emailed me for helpful suggestions. They wanted to know what can they do with the husbands they love, but who have become devout womanizers. When the wives pleaded with their husbands to abandon the thrill of new conquests, the husbands just grinned and said, "You must be kidding, honey." These guys couldn't care less for what their wives want or feel or say.
When they emailed me, the women were hoping for a hypnotic spell or a magic word they can use on their straying husbands. The first magic word that popped into my mind was "divorce", followed by more words of wisdom "drop him, let go and move on with your life". Even suggesting a hypnosis recording like "Get over that relationship" or "Attract Your Ideal Love Relationship" didn't seem to be viable options because the women still feel deeply attached to and dependant on their husbands. These women want to know what else they can do to convert men, who now look more like frogs, back into princes charming who seduced, married, and promised to honor and cherish them forever.
Sometimes words alone do not work, at least not when spoken directly. Indirect hypnotic language, metaphors, scrambled sentences peppered with meaningful words can work if used skillfully. It takes less time to act out of character. Do something unexpected, even outrageous. Become unpredictable. Become mysterious. Get busy with something that genuinely makes you feel good about yourself and about your life. Surround yourself with people who share your interests and who appreciate you. Reinvent yourself.
Of course, a woman preparing food for her husband could unleash all her feelings and passionate desires into the food and chant over it something like "By the power of three times three, forever faithful to me you'll be", while imagining her husband having eyes only for her and transforming himself into the prince charming she married. Then, wait and see what happens. This would make her at least temporarily feel better, even if the rake remains determined to follow in the footsteps of Casanova.
A more spiritual approach would be to send love and blessings to the straying husband, let him live his life in any way that makes him feel happy, and then pray for a suitable companion and a happy marriage in general - regardless whether it turns out to be with this man or with someone else. Appropriate affirmation at this time may be "If my husband is perfect for me, may he be faithful to me. If he is not meant for me, I am ready to let go and move on." And then pay attention to what happens.
When we find ourselves in perplexing situations we can program our subconscious minds for an insight into the challenging situation and for a solution through a prophetic dream. A Prophetic Dreaming hypnosis recording can guide you through this process.
Questions that may stimulate further insight into the problem and bring about the solution are: "How can I benefit from this situation?", or "What can I learn from this situation?", or "How can I turn this situation around?" To keep your wits around you and your mind subconscious searching for positive outcomes in any situation, you can remember to repeat often "Something good comes out of everything."
