Or not? This woman asked to be locked up in jail to quit smoking. The county jail, of course, said they wouldn't take her. She was offered Chantix, but it really is not clear if she tried it or why she didn't try it.
Came across this question on Yahoo! Answers, and it made me think. Here's how I answered it:
I do not know how credible this source is, and you're all welcome to research, but I think I remember reading this somewhere else, too. One of the posts here (about 3/4 down the page) mentions that Chantix is stored in your body fat for a while, then releases as you metabolize your fat.
I've been kind of struggling tonight (and a little last night), thinking of lighting up. It was the usual craving-something-not-sure-what-exactly feeling but now a part of it was thinking of having a smoke. Nothing major and nothing I couldn't contain with reasonable effort, but definitely enough to make me worry.
I was reading Quit For Good blog (this and other links are now in the Links section), and it made me remember those last pre-Chantix and first Chantix days. I feel almost nostalgic. Chantix felt and even looked like candy, and I actually perceived it as a treat to myself!
I have come across this post on a diabetes related blog where the author is saying that "it's unclear whether Chantix has been studied in people with diabetes (PWD)."
Ok, this is really bad. I was reading this girl's blog about her quit, and the name of her blog was showing in my browser - Mobius Stripped (stripped being the key word). All of a sudden the executive director walks on me with another guy and ask me to do something.
I was just reading Mobius Stripped post about seeing other people smoke. Maggie also mentioned that she doesn't like seeing other people smoke.
Wow, the time has gone by so fast. Since I was moving my blog to here from its previous location, I practically relived my experience during my quit. What a trip it has been.
For sure, it has been the greatest experience, though. I am so glad I decided to go with Chantix. Looking back, I was behaving pretty erratically most of the first month off nicotine, and I can't imagine what kind of crazy things I'd be up for without Chantix smoothing out the edges the first weeks (and it was).
I don't know if you are already experiencing the infamous global warming, but I think it's the Armageddon time (with knees shivering, and heart racing). Take a seat before you will desperately search for the signs of thereof in this image to the left.
The world is most certainly going to come crashing down when everyone in Los Angeles finds out that ... it s.n.o.w.e.d. in Southern California in the beginning of August (in absolute awe). Like you have no idea. Just imagine millions' lives ruined by this occurrence, dreams shattered, flocks of fake superficial people massively filling highways fleeting this no-longer-eternal-land-of-sunshine.
