    The document particularly addresses communications via the ‘mass media’ (TV, radio and the written press), the
    workings of which may be less familiar to scientific/academic partners. It also covers websites and other internally
    generated support such as print publications, CDs and video.
    The following pages outline good practices that can be employed in:
    • Defining key messages;
    • Establishing target audiences;
    • Selecting the appropriate modes of communication;
    • Tailoring information to the intended outlets;
    • Building good relationships with the media;
    • Evaluating results;
    • Maximising the exposure of messages; and
    • Tapping useful Commission and other external resources.
    As well as providing sound advice on how best to proceed, the content includes examples of successful approaches that
    have been used to date.

  • 2004 Report - Innovation Management and the Knowledge-Driven Economy
    In 2004 the European Commision Directorate General Entreprise commissioned a study on Innovation Management and the Knowledge-Driven Economy. The aim of the study was to provide a comprehensive review of the scope, trends and major actors in the development and use of methods to manage
    innovation in the knowledge-driven economy. The study concentrated on Innovation Management Techniques (IMTs) that aim to improve competitiveness, and specifically on those IMTs that focus on knowledge as an important part of
    the innovation process. The final report of the study is now available.

  • Workshop Announcement - IST Call 5 Preparatory Workshop on "Collaborative Working Environments"
    The main objective of this workshop is to set up a forum to people active and/or interested in Collaborative Working Environments for consolidating and structuring emerging ideas in line with and in support of the objectives in the Strategic Objective "Collaborative Working Environments" of the IST Work programme 2005-2006.

    The workshop is open to industrial and research organisation from Collaborative Working Environments R&D domain and adjacent domains, as well as for all the relevant stakeholders on the technological value chain: from technological pillars providers to collaboration enabling platforms to application developers and final users.

  • Knowledge Anywhere Anytime - or "The Social Life of Knowledge" - Workshop Report

  • Designing Workspaces of the Future - Workshop in Brussels - 16th October 2003

  • Possible future of KnowledgeBoard
    Some partners of EKMF and others have submitted a proposal to the European Commission called KnowledgeBoard 2.0 - The European Knowledge and Capabilities Management Working Space. This proposal/project aims to activate and facilitate this European KM community and further develop it and to turn the existing KnowledgeBoard into a model and reference for virtual networks offering customised services, collaboration space, and a supporting infrastructure to European research projects and industrial players.
