- Hello Goodbye
The most boring & uninteresting posts that I encounter while I
am surfing the 'blogosphere' are those entries people write where they
are talking about their own blog as the sole subject matter.
You
know the ones I mean like "I modified my sidebar column width by 1 mm
today, hope you all like it." or the ones that assume you are totally
blind by announcing "I changed my entire layout, did you notice?"
Both
of those kind of entries really make a presumption that first, you are
a complete idiot and don't notice anything unless it is specifically
pointed out to you & discussed... (more)

- Savoy Truffle
So this past Saturday afternoon I am with my buddy John and we
are picking up a couple of T-bone steaks and some Guinness to
head over to Kevin and Samantha's house for a early evening barbeque
and followed by a night out on the town boozing & carousing.
This
was once a regular thing for all of us on a Saturday however lately it
definitely seems harder and harder to get the group together.
As
I pulled into a parking stall at the mall, I look over and there is a
police car parked in front of the donut shop just being hoisted onto a
tow truck to be towed away.
I turn to John... (more)

- What Have I Done to Deserve This
As my birthday slowly approaches, I really need to ensure that the
gifts that I receive from my folks this year is not a repeat of last,
which can only be best described as horrendous.
If you don't recall that ugly incident, please click here ( Birthday ) and look it over just to familiarize yourself with my personal Hell.
Briefly
summarizing, my crazy evil sister decided to play a trick on me by
convincing my parents to purchase me the most crappy and useless gift a
person could ever get, that being a picture painted by a damn monkey!
In
order to avoid this kind of nasty incident... (more)

- I've Had Enough
As most people already know, I have always been a rather
petty and
rancorous individual. Probably not one of my many better
selling
points however, what can a guy do, that's
life.
Having said
that, it is time once again to give you a list of stuff on people's
blogs that I just hate and that really piss me off. (keep in mind
almost
everything lately falls into this category)
My
regular readers will know that I already started this list of things
way back in January 2005 in I Can't Stand it no
More, and then continued my tirade in the
list of September 2005 in ... (more)

- Do You Hear What I Hear?
This problem has been going on for way too long and finally I
think my Dad is now reluctantly going to do something about
it.
We
all first noticed that Dad was having hearing problems a few months
back as he was continually asking us to repeat portions of
conversations and remarks we had just made.
We all joked
that he 'must be going deaf' and 'must need a hearing aid', but this
soon proved to be less of a joke and more of a reality as time
progressed.
Dad's stubbornness to admit to minor
hearing loss
has been the source of numerous arguments with pretty much... (more)

- I Don't Wanna Go Home
About 4 weeks ago in August, the building where I live was
finally
got a satellite dish which was capable of offering over 100 channels
including current movies, sports and special events. All the
tenants were asked if they wished to subscribe for the cost of $20.00
per month, which is extremely good as I pay over $48.00 month for
cable
and it does not offer even half of the channels, let alone the free
'Pay-Per-View' events.
I have been enjoying this
ever since then
but have found out that there is so much to see, if I allowed myself,
it would be all I do each... (more)

- Small Town
A couple of months back in July of this year, a friend of mine
moved back home to the east coast of Canada to the city of Halifax.
I
finally got a letter & postcard from Jackie earlier this week,
giving me her new address and letting me know that things were going
very well with her sick Mom (whom she has been staying with &
looking after) and also with herself.
Apparently she has also
just been offered a very well paying job in the province of
Newfoundland, which is an island province very close to Halifax.
This will allow her the luxury of still being close to her Mom in... (more)

- Anniversary Waltz
So last Monday night I am over at my sisters place just
visiting and playing with my little six year old nephew Mikey, being
that it was the last weekend before school begins for another year.
Our
fun was interrupted around 8 PM when my sister announced it was time
for Mikey to get ready for bed being that it was now a school
night. After a lot of whining and begging, poor Mikey reluctantly
went upstairs as ordered.
I could have saved him about ten
minutes of begging had he asked me, since my sister has no concept of
fun anymore. Actually she was always a buzz-kill now that... (more)
