West Shore YMCA continued to climbed the ladder to excellence this week by being named a Silver Medal Club in USA Swimming's Club Excellence program for the 2005-2006 season. This is a significant step and we are getting ever closer to our ultimate goal of becoming a Gold Medal club. Last year our team scored 5,476 points in this USA Swimming ranking system that evaluates our program in areas such as performance at national level meets, team organizational structure, parents education and how you provide that education to your parents, plan for continued coaches education, and over structure of how you move swimmers through your program. This tear (2005-2006) our team scored a very impressive 7,216 points, almost 2,000 points higher than last year
