I heard something at a department store that i've had never heard of before. The salesperson was telling my wife that the perfume that she wanted to buy was going to be on sale in two days.
That got me thinking, why don't I ask the salesperson in the next store that I was going to visit about a particular shirt and when it was going to be on sale. Well it worked he told me that it was going on sale this up coming weekend, also they had a good amount of the shirt and he didn't see them outselling by the time the sale started.
So it goes to show you that if you ask you shall receive. I don't see this working everywhere but it doesn't hurt to ask. I am curious to read what you think, do you have any tips that you can share?

I would say that 90% of my junk mail is credit card offers. It is really overwhelming how many offers I receive on a weekly basis. It can be very confusing for first time credit card users on what they should do to avoid the credit card traps.
So here are a few tips that will help you avoid the credit card traps.
Don't Pay Your First Late Fee
You should be able to speak to a customer service rep and demand that they waive this fee. Tell them that it's your first time and that you want the fee to be waived. If they say no tell them that you will take your business to another company. If they still say no ask to speak to a supervisor. If all else fails call again another day.
Don't Close Out Your Old Cards
If you close out your old cards your credit score will actually lower since you will now have a small available credit amount. Keeping your zero balance cards will help you get lower interest rates on new cards.

So I use LinkedIn just about everyday. I log in about 3-4 times a day looking for information, prospects and conducting research. I speak to a lot people who don't know what to use it for. They make a profile and add 1 or 2 contacts and then totally forget about it.
I found this great post on LinkedIntellegence on smart ways to use LinkedIn. You'll find references on everything from finding your next job to researching sales prospects. LinkedIn is such a great tool, but only if you use it.

I'm a huge basketball fan. I try to play basketball as much as I can, but I've never been able to dunk the basketball. Hopefully these tips will get me a few more inches off the ground.
1. Warmup - always warmup before you start any exercise. You can start off by stretching and then with a slow jog and gradually increase your speed.
2. Jumping Exercises - Squat down and then explode into a jump. You want to continue doing this exercise until you feel that you have gain enough strength to jump over obstacles. Be careful when landing you don't want to injure yourself.

I was reading a post on ZenHabits today about Insomnia. Now I myself have delt with this problem for sometime. However early this year I found a solution that worked really well for myself. I'll share it with you at the end of this post.
Leon Ho makes three very good suggestions:
Exercise: My wife would strongly agree with this suggestion. My wife is a runner and she works-out to the point where she has completely ready to sleep and recharge her batteries.
Waking Up Early: Hopefully you will get tired by the time that night rolls around and you will have a restful night of sleep.
Go To Bed: The less distraction that you have the more likely it will be that you will fall asleep. So just laying down and going to sleep would be a good start.
Okay so here is my tip, and it worked wonderfully for me. I take Melatonin about 1/2 an hour before I am ready to go to sleep. The Melatonin works great. I sleep the entire night and wake up refreshed.
Since Melatonin is not a drug it is not habit forming and it's very affordable. I buy mine at my local super market for less than 10 dollars.
