The date is set to June 19 – 20 and this is without doubt the biggest event ever held in Europe that has a primary focus on Open Source Software. All three conferences are running at the same place at the same time, but with three different areas of focus. The Open Nordic conference will mainly focus on doing business with Open Source Software. eZ Systems’ annual eZ Conference will, as usual, focus on the Enterprise Content Management business and the eZ Ecosystem, this year with a much wider spectrum of products (including the new eZ Flow and eZ Find products). Open Nordic Mobile will be the third part of the conference and will focus on Open Source mobile solutions.

To compete in a tough market, Dolly Dimple’s wanted to broaden its sales reach through a web-based e-commerce portal. Dolly Dimple’s has a call center in Oslo with approximately 60 employees and the goal was to decrease the number of staff in the call center by automating the order and payment process through the web portal.

The community DinMat.no is a joint venture run by five of the biggest newspapers of Norway’s Schibsted media group. Each of these newspapers (Aftenposten, Bergens Tidende, Stavanger Aftenblad, Adresseavisen and Fædrelandsvennen) has a large archive of food-related material, such as recipes and feature stories that were published in the newspapers. The goal of the DinMat.no website is to leverage this content and become the leading provider of online food and drink information in Norway. This goal is premised on building a community, with features like rich videos showing cooking techniques, community interaction, and fun, relevant functionality such as weekly menu planning and the ability to create shopping lists that are sent via SMS to the visitor’s cell phone. On December 19, 2007, during a seminar with Apple in Paris, eZ Systems demonstrated eZ Publish running on Mac OS X Server v10.5 Leopard. In addition, eZ showed eZ Flow, a new extension for eZ Publish designed for media companies who need to build complex page layouts and pre-plan publication schedules to ensure a constant flow of rich content. Among other features, eZ Flow supports delivery of content to Apple iPhones.
